Sun/Water Study 1 can be either an electrically powered or a "solar powered" piece. The work comes with a light that is placed to illuminate the work from behind. However, the work can also be placed near a window, allowing sunlight to filter through the multiple layers of printed plexiglass. This creates an artwork that engages with the environment, altering appearance as the light changes throughout the time of day and time of year and allowing the artwork to rest at night.
