ARTIST STATEMENT
“The paintings are intended as pages from a manuscript depicting the icons of antiquity. The medium is ground pigment rubbed into a textured layer of marble dust. A collage image is integrated into the painting by partially submerging it with a layer of marble dust and pigment glaze.”
